§ 01
THE BRIEF
This 1967 Plymouth Barracuda, nicknamed Slobak, is the latest pro-touring project to land on the Hammer Fab floor. The body is straight, the cream paint is staying, and the goal is a reliable small-block street car with a stance that works and details that reward a closer look. Modern suspension, brakes, and rolling stock sit underneath a largely original shell, while the interior is being updated to be clean and comfortable for long drives. The build is just getting rolling, starting with a full teardown and a plan for the chassis and drivetrain.

INTAKE MILESTONESlobak in the shop

J001§ 04 — Process
Chapter by chapter.
Every build is documented as it moves through the shop. Here's how this one came together.
C002Body & stance
The 'Cuda shell is in solid shape with factory cream paint and chrome trim. The stance is being set first — ride height, track width, and wheel position will guide every chassis decision that follows.
C003Drivetrain plan
A small-block V8 with modern EFI is the target — reliable power, easy service, and the right sound for a street car. Transmission and rear-end choices will match the intended use: highway cruising and back-road fun.
C004Chassis & suspension
Aftermarket front suspension and a four-link rear will drop the car over the right wheel package while keeping the ride civil. Brakes and steering are being upgraded to match the modern drivetrain.
C005Interior refresh
The cockpit will stay clean and stock-looking with better seats, modern gauges, and a simple audio setup. The focus is on comfort and visibility for long drives.
